Our Commitment to Health and Safety

Workplace Scientifics Ltd are committed to continuously improving the health and safety culture, providing safe and healthy working conditions for the prevention of work-related injury and ill-health and treats statutory requirements as the minimum standard whilst striving to maintain best-practice, seeking continual improvement and innovation within all its activities.

At Workplace Scientifics Ltd we believe that everything we do will be completed safely. Our philosophy is that we don’t put people at risk of injury or ill-health, whether they are our employees, contractors, customers or members of the public.”

 

The legislation imposes a statutory duty on employers to ensure, so far as is reasonably practicable, the health & safety of their employees, visitors and contractors,

 

Employees, visitors and contractors have a statutory duty to take care of themselves and others that may be affected by their acts or omissions whilst representing Workplace Scientifics Ltd.

 

To enable these duties to be carried out and a commitment of continual improvement for our OH&S management system we intend to ensure that responsibilities for health & safety matters are effectively assigned, accepted and fulfilled at all levels within our organisational structure.

Workplace Scientifics Ltd is committed to and will so far as is reasonably practicable, ensure that:

 

  • Appropriate resources are provided to ensure that proper provision can be made for health & safety.

  • Risk Assessments are carried out and periodically reviewed to eliminate hazards and reduce OH&S risks.

  • Systems of work are provided and maintained that are safe and without risks to health & safety.

  • Arrangements for use, handling, storage, transport of articles and substances for use at work are safe and without risks to health.

  • All employees will be provided with such information, instruction, training and supervision as is necessary to secure their safety and health at work and the safety of others that may be affected by their actions.

  • Where appropriate, health surveillance will be provided to employees

  • The provision and maintenance of all plant, machinery and equipment is safe and without risk to health.

  • The working environment of all employees is safe and without risks to health, and that adequate provision is made with regard to the facilities and arrangements for their welfare at work.

  • The place of work is safe, and there is secure access to and egress from the workplace.

  • Monitoring activities are undertaken to maintain agreed standards and to fulfil legal and other requirements.

  • It is the duty of all employees (including visitors and contractors) at work:

  • To take reasonable care for the health & safety of themselves and of other persons who may be affected by their acts or omissions at work, and co-operate with us in fulfilling our statutory duties.

  • Not to interfere with or misuse anything provided in the interest of health & safety.

  • This Health & Safety Policy will be reviewed at least annually, amended and updated as and when necessary. Communication of any such changes will be made to all employees.

  • There are established and maintained effective procedures for consultation and communication between all levels of management and employees on all matters relating to health, safety and welfare.
